As the leaves start to change, you know that fall is in the air. It’s time to pull out those sweaters, hit up the haunted houses, and bake everything with pumpkin spice! Since fall is right around the corner, what are your fall bucket list plans? Here are just five fall activities that you need to do this fall season if you live in Rexburg!
It can’t be a fall activity without pumpkins! Make sure to grab a pumpkin at a local store or pumpkin patch before it’s too late. You can also buy a carving kit from a store or come up with your design. Carving pumpkins is something you can do for a date, FHE, or even a Halloween party. Once your pumpkin is all carved, put it out on your front porch and light it up with a candle for everyone to see!
Living in Rexburg has it’s perks when it comes to the month of October. There are many different haunted houses in the surrounding areas which make for perfect fall activities. Grab your friends and head to the nearest pumpkin patch! Whether it’s the U-Pick Red Barn in Idaho Falls or RC Acres Pumpkin Patch in Saint Anthony, make sure to grab a pumpkin before all the good ones are gone. Be a kid again and have a fun afternoon picking out the perfect pumpkin for you! Don’t forget to take it home and carve afterwards!
Who doesn’t love freshly picked apples? Head to the BYU-Idaho Apple Orchard and spend the afternoon picking a bucket of apples. The orchard includes a collection of over 120 different varieties of apples. There is self service station located at the corner of the orchard that you can pay for the apples you pic. You can even pick some rotten apples and play a game of apple schmear! Take your apples home and make caramel apples or a delicious apple crisp.
