Need a break from the winter cold of Idaho? Well here are four unique places you could go to find warmer weather and relaxation. Of course, there are thousands of places you could go, but here are some ideas that are both near and far to spark your vacation ideas.

1. Indio California

Indio is a city in Riverside County, California, United States, located in the Coachella Valley of Southern California’s Colorado Desert region. It lies 23 miles east of Palm Springs, 75 miles east of Riverside, 127 miles east of Los Angeles, and 148 miles northeast of San Diego.

The average temperature for the winter months of December, January and February is a high of 75 and a low of 42 which is plenty warm for a winter getaway.

There are several fun things to do in Indio such as; Attend the famous music festival Coachella, visit museums, go to the fair or shop the farmers market.

2. Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Philipsburg is the capital of Saint Maarten, the Dutch side of the Caribbean Island Saint Martin. Beachfront bars line the boardwalk along Great Bay. The St. Maarten Zoo is home to parrots, monkeys and a playground. The ruins of 17th-century Fort Amsterdam stand on a nearby peninsula.
