Brr it’s freezing outside! Don’t let the cold get you down this winter! Instead of staying cooped up inside watching movies and drinking hot cocoa, it’s time to get outside and play in the snow. You don’t have to go skiing or snowboarding to enjoy the snow. Instead, here are a few fun things that you can do in the snow this winter!
Sledding
First things first, who doesn’t love sledding? Relive your childhood memories this winter by going sledding with family or friends. You don’t have to have a fancy sled to have a good time sledding. Instead, you can buy cheap sleds in the local area or use random household appliances such as trash can lids or plastic storage containers. Make the most of the snow this winter.
Snowshoeing
Have you ever tried snowshoeing? If you haven’t, then this winter is the perfect time for you to go! Spend the afternoon out adventuring in the mountains or at a nearby park. You can rent snowshoes at the ORC on BYU-I’s campus for cheap. It’s only $11 for adults and $7 for juniors for a 24-hour period. Mark your calendars to spend the day snowshoeing out in the snow!
Nightskiing
If you like to ski or snowboard, then you’ll love night skiing! This winter spend an evening at the slopes! Enjoy skiing down the lit up ski slopes with your friends! Not to far from Rexburg, you can enjoy night skiing at Kelly Canyon. Their prices are pretty affordable for a ski pass or ski rental. Head to their website to find out more!

Build a Snowman
It’s time to take your snowman building to the next level! This winter, you can have fun in the snow by building a huge, gigantic snowman. You’re going to need all the help and the snow you can get. Start rolling and packing the snow together to make the snowman. Once you’re about finished, add branches, rocks, a hat, and a scarf to make the finishing touches.
