Life is Better With a Pet

According to the 2019-2020 National Pet Owners Survey conducted by the American Pet Products Association (APPA), sixty-seven percent of U.S. households, or about 85 million families, own a pet. The Village is one of the only apartment complexes in Rexburg that not only allows pets, but loves pets. From dogs to cats to fish or birds, all are love and and all are welcome. They provide several benefits to residents and the Village apartments make it easy to experience those benefits.

Everyone Should Own a Pet

Pets are overall good for humans. They help us mentally, physically and socially. They improve our lives and make up better people. Mentally they help us feel loved. They give us comfort and a companion in those lonely or sad times. The silly things they do make us roll on the floor and laugh. Physically they decrease blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and triglyceride levels. Pets get us up and moving. Sometimes this includes rolling a ball or dragging a feather or string on the floor. This also includes going on walks and going to the park. Pets also allow for an increase of socialization. Pets can start conversations and create friendships with people who share the same love for pets and animals.

The Village and its Love of Pets

The Village makes it easy for residents to own pets. Not only do they have an enclosed dog park but they supply doggy bags and treats for the ease and pleasure of the residents and their dogs. There is no long process to get approved to have a pet either. Another nice thing about the village is that the apartments are always kept clean and in great shape. You will never move into an apartment that it smells, has fur or hair or that is dirty. The village prides itself on cleanliness and appearance.

Hear it From the Residents

However, it’s important to remember that pets help their owners, and it’s important that we help them back. Exercise is an important aspect for a pet’s health. Dogs need to run and cats need to play. It is recommended that dogs get two 15 min walks everyday, several bathroom breaks and plenty of attention.

The Village makes an effort for pets and their owners, but it is important that you treat the Village and their other residents well. Be considerate with your neighbors when your dog is making noise. Clean up the mess around your apartment complex. Pets are like children and need extra care and cleaning up after, but they are also the joy’s in our life. “It is amazing how much love and laughter they bring into our lives and even how much closer we become with each other because of them.” – John Grogan
