Save Money This Semester In Community Housing

Coronavirus & Rexburg Student Housing

COVID-19 has certainly thrown a wrench into a lot of businesses and industries. One in particular is the very narrow student housing market in Rexburg, Idaho. It’s certainly unique here due to the university and the hybrid plan for students this upcoming fall semester.

With the virus continuing to rise in and around Idaho there is more of push for social distancing and taking the necessary precautions. We have seen a demand for students to live in smaller community housing. For example, moving to some 2-person apartments as opposed to the normal 4, 6, or even 8-person apartments.

Think Outside The Box

If able to work, The Village could provide a solution to one of the problems we’re facing in this time of COVID. And on top of that, we may be able to save you some money in the process.

A lot of student housing costs anywhere from $1,200-$1,600 per semester. Depending on how the contracts are worked out, that can range anywhere from $350/month to $530/month!

If two students wanted to share one of our Chelsea studios, the cost could be as low as $325/month! Even if two students were to split our 2-bedroom Fremont plan, they could get it for $425/month! Well below some of the more expensive apartments.

If a student is taking all online classes and still wants to come to Rexburg, they may be able to find a cheaper place to live in community housing.

*We find it necessary to mention that we are not advocating for students to not adhere to university housing guidelines. We strongly encourage students to follow the proper guidelines when it comes to finding housing for their specific situations.
